Apple MacBooks are extremely durable pieces of machinery. The
original PowerBook can still be used today, if you don’t mind how ridiculously slow
it runs. Most MacBooks can survive a few falls and hits, and will typically
last around five to seven years. Apple does however, give a constant feeling of
obsolescence, since every year, it releases three updates to each computer,
with better features each time. I would be wrong to say I never wanted to
exchange my MacBook in for a newer MacBook Pro. This perceived obsolescence is
also present with the iPhone, since the 4s was released so close to the 4, many
people discarded perfectly working iPhone 1, 2, 3, 3G and 4 models for the 4S.
